The ACTiSYS ACT-FR01U is a USB infrared adapter compliant with IrDA standard 1.0 (SIR). The device supports standard data transfer speed (9.6 kbps, 19,2 kbps, 38,4 kbps, 57,6 kbps and 115,2 kbps). The maximum working distance is 100cm (minimum: 3cm).

The driver necessary for MS Windows is supplied with the adapter. The adapter can be integrated easily. The IrDA function of this adapter is provided by a MOSchip MCS7784 IC. Linux drivers are also available for that type of IC.
