The ACT-IR100M gives the user IR wireless printing from mobile computers and PDAs. You can also print directly from desktop PC or LAN by connecting the printer cable to the ACT-IR 100M. It is compatible with IrDA-1.0 at communication speeds programmable at 9.6, 19.2, 57.6, 115.2K bps and a distance of 100cm. It is well suited for all IR wireless printing applications. It works well with any parallel printers. You can print wirelessly from any IrDA-capable notebook PC, smart cellular phone, PDA, HPC and industrial data terminal, running appropriate IrDA application software. The adapter has a built-in printer pass-through connector and uses a very compact IrDA protocol. Powered by AC adapter (included). The IR100M automatically switches between IR wireless or cable-based printing. Indicator light flashes at IR transmission speed and indicates printing status. The IR head can be easily attached to any convenient desktop location using Velcro.

IR100M series is compatible with all Centronics-B (36 pins) parallel printers that are compatible with DOS. IR100M series is compatible with most Centronics-B (36 pins) parallel printers which utilize Microsoft Windows printer driver to use LPT port. If the printer or multi-function model can not work with Microsoft Windows LPT port or DOS, IR100M series will likely not work. However, some multi-function printer (MFP) models have been tested to work well with IR100M series. If you want to use such a device, please request an updated compatibility list with tested printer models.

If your printer's Centronics36 connector is hidden inside (such as certain HP LaserJet models), you need to order a CEN36M/F cable to connect to IR100M.
